Resume Checklist

Obviously a good resume can help you further your chances to get a job.

•In most cases, the hirers or the interviewer will know of your existence only through your resume. A resume longer than 2 pages is completely unnecessary. Try to leave them wanting more. If they want more, they’ll call you for an interview.

•Do not put forward a lot of personal details. You do not want it look as if you were applying on a dating site.

•Desperation in any case is a turn-off. Fill-in large blocks of non-working time with freelance gigs or volunteering work. Don’t mention being laid off or unemployed in your resume. Let it come up naturally during the interview.

•Last and not the least. Avoid spelling and grammar mistakes in the resume. Ask your friends to help you out in proof reading it and then bring out points that require more detailing, briefing or corrections.
